Choosing a lunch spot pre or post ride can cause some of us unnecessary stress. We are here to help you choose the perfect, quick and healthy lunch for your pre or post ride needs. Downtown has evolved over the last two years and become the home to some of our favorite go to lunches. Whether you are looking for a grab and go snack or a fill your belly meal, we have rounded up our Top 5 picks.

Bona Pita
Located on Franklin behind the soon to be open Millinium Tower, Bona Pita packs unique flavor into each lunch. Choose your filling (vegetarian options!), choose your plate (salad, plate or pita) and a drink and you have a very satisfying, delicious meal. They also offer soups, teas and awesome hummus with fresh pita.

Sweetgreen
All hail the kale! Sweetgreen Downtown Crossing is now open and we couldn’t be more excited. Choose a signature salad or create your own… getting your greens in never tasted so good. Try their delicious lemonades and teas, better yet mix them together for a custom Arnold Palmer.

Clover
This company has taken Boston by storm.  Starting as a food truck and now evolving into 6+ restaurants, Clover’s Food Lab in Downtown Crossing is tasty, fast and cool. They give you the time each item will take to make from when you order and their menu changes seasonally with what produce they have coming through. Love giving feedback? They have online and in store forums where customers can chat about the menu.

BGood
We know that craving hits. Sometimes you just need a burger, cheeseburger, turkey burger, veggie burger, whatever. Something satisfying to bite into with a side of fries. Enter BGood, a healthier take on the traditional patties. With fresh ingredients, made to order fare, this burger joint serves up a lighter tasting meal with some awesome twists on traditional menu. Mark’s favorite combo is the winter’s seasonal Joanie burger, which included avocado, sriracha, & homemade spicy slaw. Our tip: Pre-order as there is a long wait around lunchtime and the food is prepped and cooked to order.

Pret a Manger
Founded in 1984 in the UK, Pret took the US by storm a few years ago and now boasts over 5 locations in Boston alone. This place is perfect for a healthy and tasty meal on the go. Grab a warm falafal wrap to eat while you walk back from the studio or pack one one of their many salads in your bag for a meal out in PO Square. They even serve breakfast items starting as early as 6am and remain open as late as 8pm with great options that won’t budge your belt.

Sakurabana Japanese Restaurant
Sushi is a must at least once if not twice a week in our books. There are several options but we think Sakurabana packs the most bang for the buck. With many lunch specials starting at just $12, this quick and popular sushi spot is perfect when that spicy tuna craving hits.
